Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The location was perfect! Right at the beach, where you could just walk for miles and miles with not another soul around 🥹 super beautiful. The room (and all the amenities) was extremely clean, also staff was top. Luquillo was meant to be a quick stopover and to be honest we didn’t really expect that much - but considering the beautiful ocean and great hostel, it exceeded our expectations and I would have loved to have stayed more than just one night :)
Nice place. Lovely view. Spacious apt w high ceiling. Genuine location with local life, including chicken, dogs, cats, lizards in the street. A nice colony of pigeons resting on window sylls. Area feels safe. 4 min walk W to stable bar (great location, open day time) and beach (and stream), and 7 min walk E to beach towards Luquillo. Best spot on NE PR. Good host. Stayed 17 nights. Would return.
Really good hostel, right on the beach, good facilities and kitchen, small walk into town for food, lovely staff too. An awesome place to just hang out and relax
the view the wind the open air living. jay was a great host. he had great recommendations for restaurants. the hot tub was very nice at the end of the day. nice neighborhood, seculded but jay guided us inonnn my girlfriends phone , since my verizon didn't work and it had the directions.
Staff were very helpful. Beach towels, umbrella and beach chairs and surf boards available for free. Good location on beach and near a safe swimming beach. Some good places to eat nearby. We liked Luquillo best of all places we stayed. Locals live here, it is not just a tourist town, the beaches are good and there are long beach walks plus you are near El Yunque.
