This will be a review more complicated and longer than usual. We are in our 70s and always dreamed of visiting New Zealand and, like most people who have children, jobs,ups, and downs during the long journey, we finally got here. The minute we drove up to the concrete house, we knew it was special. Mary came out to meet us ( she is even more beautiful than the house!). The house was spotless. Every blanket, pillow, towel, and dish are just perfect, and all this on 8 hectares!! The next shocker was that Mary and Neville owned a beach house in Matapouri with a view of the beach and bay with the same perfection. It's very hard to explain the level of elegance and detail In the decor... sort of fancy in a comfortable way but loving and warm like the owners of these two properties. We can't wait to come back, but 5 stars isn't high enough!

We like the garden and surrounding environment.It is located next to a golf club.Staff is very friendly and helpful. My husband loves fishing. We got a lot of useful information about Whangarei fishing. Rooms and facilities are very clean and handy.We spent a cozy night here. Definitely will come back.
