Location, convenience to event attended, quiet, rural but not too rural - space in the house, inviting on arrival as it was warm, lighting on, felt welcoming and private. It was lovely not to worry about breakfast as it was provided and enjoyable. Great communication from the host.

    Comfortable big accommodation, fully equipped, good host, good shower and sunny weather with cloud free Mt Taranaki. Location was for our activities (hiking, going around Mt Taranaki) perfect. Tip, a fantastic bakery in Stratford for a good cup of coffee and sweets or lunch

    Our accommodation was very comfortable and Gillian and James are. dry good hosts and Sam was a very pleasant addition. Breakfast was fabulous with lots of choice and the home made raspberry jam was THE best - thanks Gillian

    This is a true little gem for the weary traveller to rest their head. Lovely hosts and a very well-appointed room, with nice little touches. Good continental breakfast, really good coffee and all with a friendly chat with the superfriendly owners. Bonus for me was Sam, their big black and very friendly dog. Felt more like staying with friends than in a B&B, highly recommend!
