Located on the northern edge of Den Burg, close to scenic farmlands, this place offers beautiful views just a two-minute walk away. The owner is incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, providing tools to help us fix a broken bicycle.
The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean, featuring large bathrooms stocked with all the essentials. Each room is well-equipped with comfortable beds, a table, a couch, a coffee machine, a kettle, a mini fridge, and more—everything you might need for a comfortable stay.
To top it off, my kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the extensive collection of photography books available in the room.
Gastenkamer Texel is situated in the heart of Den Burg. The beach is 6.5 km away and the dunes 3.5 km. Free WiFi access is available.

Aelita's studio -- part of her house -- was a comfortable base in Den Burg for a few days on Texel. Aelita herself is really warm and friendly and responds quickly to any questions. After checking out, we could leave our bags for the day.
The studio is really two rooms that run into each other, with a bathroom attached. The bathroom was very clean, with modern fittings, and plenty of rails and hooks to hang towels/clothes/etc. This extra care for the fittings also extends to the bedroom: there are led reading lamps and several shelves next to each bed, plus a wardrobe for clothes. I also appreciated the box of tissues provided.
The kitchen has all you need for simple meals, including salt and pepper. No stove, just a microwave. Various teabags and a coffee machine.
In 5-10 minutes' walk you are in the centre of den Burg with its cafes, shops and museum. Then 10-15 mins walking takes you to the main bus stop for buses to the ferry or de Koog/Ecomare.

The very nice cottage looks much nicer than in the photos! Get a real vibe in the countryside with natural design! The kitchen & dayroom downstairs with high ceilings and exit to the garden with tables, simply perfect! You can find there also some table games. Our room was upstairs, nice and big with big windows to the garden. We just missed a bit of some closet or more hangers. The cottage is right behind a brewery, though we didn't visit it because of ongoing renovations.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Great Host & Convenient location. Well thoughout for kids playarea in attic and some cakes & Juice as compliments. Kids beach toys were stocked. Host stays below and it was pleasant stay
The location is amazing, you can reach Den Burg and most beaches in 15-20min by bike. We had an overnight stay so that’s all we had time to see anyways and it was lovely! The caravan is clean and cozy with a nice garden. The bathroom was good beyond expectations for a caravan. Lisende is a great host!
