The private balcony is fantastic with hammocks and a small table, and they have a couple of surfboards for rent. The location is great, walking distance to the surf break and some local restaurants. Marc however also cooks delicious meals himself!

Red pepper is the perfect stay for couples. Fairly priced, built with great attention to detail, and managed in a very sustainable way. Everything works perfectly. Tidy rooms, each with its own terrace on top, and a complete kitchen. Mariken and Mark are lovely hosts and we ended up extending our stay. Would really recommend the curry night on Monday and Wednesday; excellent food and affordable prices.

What a beautiful place! Great hosts, the curry evening is a very nice idea to bring people together, and it was very delicious! The rooftop terrace is a highlight.

One of the few and only hostels run by locals, staff is so kind, the room was very quiet and had it for my self for 90% of the stay, A/C worked great, room and bathroom cleaned everyday and amazing location to watch sunset and enjoy Happy hour beer ($1.5). Will definitely book again for my next stay

Just wonderful. It is so well designed and we felt at home instantly, the room is so comfortable with the breeze coming through and the only sound you hear at night is the crashing waves of the Pacific. The rooftop terrace is a lovely place to read and reflect, and you are just steps away from the beach. Marc and Mariken are great hosts and we enjoyed the Indonesian noodle night too!
