I had a fantastic stay at this cozy spot near the beach. The parking was safe and convenient, the accommodations were spotless, and the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Aayu Melayu is a great place to wind down after a good day's visiting George Town.
It's very close to extremely good eateries and Shane took the time to provide us with some itineraries that could have been our go-to if we hadn't prepared in advance.
He also sent us several map lists with good spots to visit and eat, which came really in handy and I highly recommend you use them.
The high ceilings help keep the building cool, and good effort has been put in to accommodate european travellers.

Joey is such a lovely hostess. We felt very comfortable and welcome. She was very helpful and warm. The room (family room) has everything you need. It’s clean and comply. You can even do your laundry in the kitchen. I can highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. :)

This was one of the better places i stayed for the value throughout several months in south east Asia.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Gerry and Teresa are the perfect host's. We recieved a warm welcome and delightful recommendations of restaurants and general local knowledge. The room is comfortable, spacious and clean. The location is nice and quiet and directly on the beach. Great value for money. I would highly recommend this home stay.
Gerry and Teresa brought us into their home and made us feel so welcome from the minute we met them. They gave us great tips on places to see and showed us the best spots in Penang to eat. Great memories and friendships were made and we were sad to be leaving. Sipping G&T's on a balcony with Gerry, facing a beautiful sea and watching Clare beat Cork in the hurling. It doesnt get better 😉

The location is great. There are hawker center area and lotus shopping center nearby. Eating and shopping are very convenient. It takes less than two minutes to walk to the beach. Very cost-effective homestay.
Plush Services are great host. Exemplary place, cosy and warm. Everything including facilities, staff and the host are superb. Coordination are 💯. They even help me with a lot of my traveling shenanigans. All in all, highly recommended and the place is really great. Definitely recommendable place if you want to relax during your stay in Penang!
