Kam is a superb and kind host. We stayed just one night as we were catching the ferry to Tioman in the morning. I was, for some reason, expecting the accommodation to be walkable from town however it was a few minutes drive away. This was no problem at all as Kam was happy to collect us from town then later drop us in town for dinner. In the morning he dropped us at the ferry terminal. Really outstanding. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable.

We found Koh’s place which seems to be a rather new option and we haven’t been disappointed!
Koh is a fantastic host that makes sure you get everything we need. Communication was smooth over WhatsApp.

The bed was spacious enough for us, a family of 4. The room, the bathroom are all clean. Cold airco, enough food stall around the neighbourhood (about 3 mins driving), ideal location to Mersing Jetty (only 5-7 mins driving, depending on the traffic). Owner is very friendly

open the door and dive into the blue sea...fall asleep with the sound of the waves, in the wildest part of the island where nature is strong and uncontaminated. Emma and her family are fantastic people, always available, she organized a snorkelling trip for us with a very nice guy who took us around the island where we could swim with turtles and baby sharks.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
We had a very comfortable stay. The place was clean and bright, with sufficient air conditioning and necessary amenities. This is my favorite homestay I've ever stayed in.
The homestay was very good. But cannot cooking. There was no stove provided. But overall the homestay meet my expectation. i will repeat in the future.
The host was fantastic, collected us on 3 occasions going to tioman Island and back. Really helpful, communication was always there when needed. The homestay is lovely and welcoming, nice area to chill out. Not far from the town of mersing, there are bikes you can use free of charge. Accros the road there is an outdoor gym and courts. Wifi excellent, washing machine comes in handy.. we had a very enjoyable stay here twice!
Location very near to Mersing city. Easy to access to the restaurant nearby. Mr Kam very good host and friendly. We are very happy for the service provided with the spacious room and bathroom. Recommended to all family to stay at Mersing Maple Villa
