Great hostel in Nouakchott - Tristan is very nice hospitable host and he gave me loads of advice on how to proceed my travels in Mauritania. It is the ultimate place for some rest in Nouakchott. If you would like to meet up with other travellers, then I highly recommend this place. This has been my favourite stay in the whole of Mauritania - would 100% come back.
This is a simple home stay in central Nouakchott with an amazing host. Samba is extremely kind, very knowledgeable and speaks English and French. He waited at the airport (my flight was over an hour delayed) and then took me to his house with his family. We then spent the day together showing me around the city. Was a brilliant experience and would recommend him to anyone
Everything! This place is a homestay with really frendly family. The host came with us to the city as a guide. Helped us to find all we needed. We got secure parking for motorbikes. He speaks good english. A big room and a roof terase is available if needed. 5/5 value for money!
Every thing was perfect, you feel like in the desert while you are in the middle of the city, nice place to meet people and the food in the restaurant is grat... Sebastian is a great host, always willing to help...
We had a wonderful stay at Le Triskell, actually two stays - one before and one after our desert trip. The Auberge has a cheery athmosphere with a changing mixture of travellers, expats and business folks. Sebastien is a great host and a good source of information. Le Triskell is one of these places where you can spend days hanging out without getting anything done. Food is very good and you can get laundry done. The outdoor area is the heart of Le Triskell. Just loved sitting there and enjoying chilled fresh lemonade.
