Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
The apartment definitely is in a great location, however, being located on the ground floor with windows being on street level, it is impossible to have windows open at night which makes the room really hot and stuffy.
Great hosts/owners who where very helpful and accommodating when something went wrong and we didn't have any hot water.
Good for a night or two if you need a basic room close to everything.
Comfortable, modern flat perfectly located between the train station, Cēsis Centre for Contemporary art, Ruckas manor, and, of course, the Old Town with the Castle, restaurants, cafes etc. Great hosts who made an extra effort for us to enjoy our stay during what were probably the two most rainy days this summer.
The room is lovely, very comfortable, clean and has everything you need for a few days stay. The kitchenette is very well equipped and even the knives are sharp. :)
Close to the train and bus station of Cesis and since the town is so small one is also close to supermarkets and the central street. Easy check-in.
