It was a very pleasant stay. We had a chance to check in early and even got a beautiful room with a terrace. Concetta, our host, was very friendly and nice. She does not speak English well but uses translations, making communication very easy. She even shared great suggestions for places to eat. She also helped us to find transport during the strike. The room was beautiful, and the location close to the train station was great; we had a nice walk to Ortigia, and everything was close to our standards. We felt there like at home.

Fortuna Guest House is a sensational place to stay for your Siracusa holiday. From the beginning, we were blown away by Antonino's attention to detail and flexibility with our travel needs. Since we arrived after regular check-in hours, Antonino sent us a custom-made video on how to access the building and our room, which was very much appreciated and enabled us to get there on our own time. The room was spacious, bright, and spotless, with daily cleaning service, a comfortable double bed (we slept like babies!), a sparkling bathroom with a bidet, a mini-fridge, air conditioning, and plenty of storage space. Antonino also provided helpful tips on where to eat and what things to see, which we referenced often. The guest house's location in Siracusa means that everything is only a 15-20 minute walk away - the island of Ortigia, the Parco Archeologico Neopolis, the train/bus stations for day trips to Fontane Bianche Beach, Catania, Noto, etc - all while still being on a quiet side street, which is exactly what we were looking for. We stayed for 9 days and could not have asked for a better base. Thank you, Antonino and team!

After reading some reviews about noise and breakfast, I have to say I am confused on why they were talking about! noise at night... we both fell asleep with no issues with the entire week and the breakfast was fantastic! friendly and substantial Would recommend to anyone visiting!
