Great location - near the bus stop/taxi office and super close to all the shops etc that Diskit has to offer (30 minute walk to the Monastery - highly recommend visiting). The building in itself is beautiful, and has really good views of the surrounding mountains. Our room was large, with large windows (nice and airy). The food was all delicious and the hosts were super attentive + kind. Overall I'd say very good value for money considering how well you will be looked after!
Padma and family really helped to make the best of a bad situation for us. My partner fell ill as we arrived and as a result wasn't able to leave the room. Padma and her parents were very attentive checking on us regularly to see if we needed anything - they brought breakfast, lunch + dinner to the room for us, and were dutifully concerned about my partner, and helpful with directions to hospital when that became necessary.

Padma, the host was excellent. She manages everything herself. Even coked as per our request. She made some excellent local dish Chutaki, for us.
Her daughter, Karma was very friendly.
Oscar their pet dog, can take you to the riverfront.
In all, it was an excellent stay and great experience living with a local family.

The host family is amazing. They’re all so nice and interested. We had a lovely dinner with them - beat momo I’ve ever had. And wonderful room with a nice western toilet and great bed (and the view is just breathtaking)
Otsal guest is beautifully located amidst the trees. The view from room no. 2 is amazing. It is one of the best homestays I have stayed in. The hosts are wonderfully homely and so so so nice. We even forgot to lock rooms when we went out and they took care of it by locking themselves. We felt at home. The food is amazing.
