I visited this property for my wife's birthday.. this is no doubt one of the best properties in coonoor
1. Views: This property has an unparalleled sunset view as the name suggests. The entire property as a bird's eye view of the town and the surrounding hills.
2. Location: This property is located in a quiet neighborhood which is hardly 5 mins from the city center. Making it an ideal location if you want a peaceful neighbourhood yet have access to the main town.
3. Rooms and property: The entire property is curated and maintained with love and care.
4. Hospitality: Preshanth is one the nicest guys and there wasn't even one request of ours which he said not to.
5. Food: Lastly, the food ..and oh my god every meal which we had here was made with love by aunty. It was simply lip smacking.

The location of the homestay is the highlight. Its in the middle of a tea estate. The drive to the property itself is very welcoming.
The hosts Mr. Alok and Sraddha are very friendly and helpful.
The food has limited choice but what they serve is yummy and homely. Preparation is also very neat.
All together this place is an "actual homestay" at a serene location. You can opt this place if you are looking for a peaceful stay close to nature and away from city life.
First thing to mention, the Ghar Home stay is located in an awesome environment. I enjoyed every moment staying there. We witnessed many Indian Gaur (Bison) near by the property both early morning as well as evening. Specially we feel so thankful to Ms.Sradha and Mr.Alok for the wonderful hospitality. We had a nice and delicious food for the dinner and breakfast at the property. A rack full of fiction and non fiction books are available for the guest anytime. Overall an incredible and wonderful stay..Hope to visit again..Thanks!
It's rare to get a great homestay with amazingly friendly and caring hosts. The stay was comfortable. The view breathtaking. The trek plans were adventurous. The bon fire night arranged by Alok was the icing on the cake. Hosts Alok & Shraddha make you feel at home, care for you and ensure pretty good hospitality. Special mention for the wall hangings and art work, which I now know is called Macrame, by Shraddha. Will definitely visit again!
It's a perfect homestay in Coonoor. The host is very courteous and ensured to make our stay a memorable one. The home cooked meals offered there are simply delicious. Alok ensured to take us for a small trek nearby which made our holiday extra special. Highly recommended!
