We had 2 fantastic Nights in Green Haven Homestay - Beautiful garden and good location. During the evening the hosts prepare an authentic dinner and you share it with all sitting on the floor, also the host family. The Dinner was excellent, we really enyojed it. Not being great singers, we still very much enjoyed the common Musik after dinner - lots of fun! Be prepared to share your favourite songs! We also did the walking tour the next morning, which was a hightight of our 3 weeks Bali/Lombok tour. We walked from 10 to 17:30, learned a lot about rice plantations, local spices and fruits, swam in the waterfall and at the end could roast our own coffee in Aman's place. Overall a fantastic, authentic stay! Thanks again, Aman & family!

The hospitality at WinaWani Bungalows is out of this world! I don't even know where to start. We stayed here for 2 nights after climbing Rinjani and we came here extremely dusty, tired, and hungry. They took care of EVERYTHING! They arranged for all our laundry to be washed, got us some amazing food at Warung Monkey Forest (part of the family business), and provided a great bed in a cute Bungalow for a good night's sleep (just make sure to bring good earplugs for mosque in the morning;) ) On the next day, we got some delicious breakfast (loved thebanana pancakes!), did an amazing half-day tour through the town (including 2 waterfalls, the rice fields, the money forest and sooo many other things and plants and people), relaxed in their beautiful garden, and had some more food at Warung Monkey Forest. They also arranged a lift to an ATM and a taxi to the airport for us, offered free hot drinks all the time, and even had a free drinking water dispenser (which I have not seen in ANY other hotel on our vacation so far)! As a cherry on top, they even cut off a part of their beautiful pink Indonesian flowers so that we can grow them at home. We couldn't recommend WinaWani more!!

Just be aware it’s very far from european standards, with no hot water, extremely basic rooms (some rooms don’t have sink) and occasionally animals inside the rooms (frogs, gekkons, spiders). It is very rural village, and if you are looking for „an experience”, this could be the place, but don’t expect to have lot of comfort here. For sure you will be also waken up by mosque at 5 am, as it is really loud. The family is lovely though and they organized a tour for us around the rice fields, which was great (from 10 am to 3pm).

We had just one night in Tetebatu (a lovely Village which takes care of its environment) and Novia guesthouse but, with hindsight, would probably have chosen to stay at least 2. We had a very warm welcome from Andi, who not only sourced a few bottles of beer, but also arranged the hire of e-bikes and took us on a fabulous tour of the area which took in the local community (rice paddies and rice harvesting and all), as well as waterfalls and the black monkey forest. Andi was a fantastic guide who I would thoroughly recommend…very knowledgeable and a very easy, friendly style. The room we had was large, very clean, large comfortable bed and great Aircon with a good shower (no fridge or TV but this is a guest house). Food was tasty, but we were not as blown away as others have been. All in all a very comfortable, great value guest house in a stunning setting with a host that goes out of his way to ensure that you have a great stay and, given the opportunity, will share his extensive knowledge with you about the local community - we would certainly use Andi again for any tours in the area.
