Would highly recommend staying here! Very friendly and attentive staff, and an excellent location (right by the ferry port and bus stops).
This is a slightly quieter part of town, but you're still very close to the action if you want to be. The room was modern and beautifully furnished, and also very clean. We received a hamper with local food upon arrival which was lovely. The property also provided us with an excellent list of local restaurants, many of which we tried and which were all amazing. The bathroom was huge and felt very luxurious, and included lots of special details. The airconditioning worked very well, and I saw that the apartment also had central heating so it would probably be very cosy here in winter as well!
As we are young we didn't mind the staircase down to the bathroom and toilet (this was a feature specific to our room, the 1864) - however, this might be something to be aware of if you're older and have a lot of difficulty with steps. For us the staircase added to the charm of the apartment, as it meant that the bathroom was on an entirely different floor. It almost felt like we were staying in a house!
I also noticed that reviews for the other rooms were impressed by the soundproofing - our room was a bit noisier because it was right in front of a parking spot for motorbikes, so there was occasional noise when someone would leave or arrive. We didn't find this annoying, but if you're a very light sleeper you may prefer to book one of the other rooms at the property.
I would definitely stay here again!

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Everything! Apartment lovely with a great view and we'll equipped kitchen. Great location both for gallosis beach and the naked armeos! Hosts were great letting us borrow a tent for Armeos beach and giving us a lift to St stefolas church in the cave! They also arranged a taxi for us to take us to the port on our last morning. They told us about a great ice cream place in ermouopolis which indeed had the best ice cream I'd ever tasted. Great hosts!

Loved our stay - comfortable, friendly staff, great location. The hotel has a lovely relaxed feel but also has a 'quality' feel to it. We enjoyed the relative peace from being out of season but some of the local eateries/businesses had yet to open. As a result, we went where the locals went and had a good time. Good bus service to Ermoupoli and to the other beachside villages.
Angela was a lovely host, very helpful with recommendations and always made herself available if we had any problems. The property was very clean with beautiful gardens. Very good value for money. Shops, restaurants and a beach within 5 minutes walk. We would definitely stay here again.
The group of obviously retired locals sitting under a veranda of whom I enquired of directions was a few metres from the bus stop and proved to include Peter & Tony’s mother, my room was just upstairs. It, and the whole experience of staying there, reminded me of what was so pleasant visiting the Greek islands 40yrs ago : quiet, friendly, basic, clean and unpretentious place to stay, the balcony overlooked the bay and the beach is only 200m distant
