Joe, was great, a quick call that we had arrived & met us at the gate. He actually showed us to the parking space, and then explained how the accommodation works. He even recommended somewhere to go for a bite to eat which we took up and were not disappointed, the bonus being it was about 1 minute away.
We stayed for just 1 night prior to going on a cruise & the location could not have been better to get to the cruise terminal, 3 mins.
Thanks again to Joe, for use of the car park whilst we were waiting to go to the ship.
He made us feel very welcome, which is worth a lot IMHO.

It is ideally situated for visiting the City Art Gallery and The Mayflower Theatre. The centre of the city is an easy walk and there are some excellent restaurants nearby. The facilities also include a large free car park. There is a fridge, microwave, tea and coffee in the room.

Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Lovely host who showed us to our room which was neat compact and had everything we needed for a 1 night city stay. The accommodation has a wonderful Japanese restaurant also which is a great option for eating out along with the stay. Breakfast is not offered but we were pointed to a cafe immediately over the road which sufficed and was helpful. Tea coffee and water were given in the room which we liked.
Lovely host, lovely room, lovely food and drink, great pub garden, nice location, nice touch with fresh milk and breakfast snacks in the spacious room. Parking super close. Ideal for festivals nearby. Would definitely stay again and would recommend!
Nice room with a comfortable bed. Good shower and quality toiletries provided. Friendly staff. Tea and coffee tray with biscuits. We enjoyed chatting with locals in the bar. Good choice of drinks. We didn't have any food during our stay but menu looked fine. Easy to access rooms in a small courtyard beside the pleasant outdoor area for the pub.
Central, comfortable and clean. Pretty double room with ensuite at front of house, but separate entrance. Esme was a great host - very helpful about all aspects of Winchester. Loads of personal touches to make stay more comfortable. Parking permit included, but Winchester parking is quirky.

Esme was welcoming and caring. Really a lovely host and willing to do anything to insure we were comfortable and taken care of. When we checked out, I accidentally left my wallet in the room. Esme went above and beyond to get the wallet to me, by driving from Winchester to Southampton Cruise Terminal and finding us before we boarded the Queen Mary. Now that is true commitment. Clean small room, comfy bed, tea pot and tiny fridge with water and milk in it. Very small shower. Getting a key is easy. The owner is very helpful , he registers your car to be able to use free street parking for locals. The map with parking spots provided. We managed to find parking just in few meters from the flat.
