Situated beneath the Mendip Hills, Burcott Mill Guesthouse is less than 2 miles from the cathedral city of Wells. Free WiFi and free on-site parking are provided at this charming Grade II listed building, which also houses one of only two working watermills in Somerset.

We stayed 2 nights in early May. This is a lovely guesthouse in a historic building. Plenty of parking, a comfortable room, delicious breakfasts, and a perfect location for visiting Wells and Glastonbury. Louise & Steve were great hosts. We even had the opportunity to see how the mill works—thank you, Steve. And Louise, your homemade breads are wonderful! We enjoyed walking to the Ring O’ Bells for good food and drinks. The pub across the road was in the process of reopening so we didn’t have a chance to check it out.

I didn't feel safe as a woman on my own and actually didn't stay. I asked if the other room had been rented out. It hadn't but could be at any time, was the reply. And the owner said he would be in and out. I had brought all my bags in. I went to move my car and then decided as I got into the car that I really did not feel safe. So then I got my bags and left. I had expected a more hostel feel. Not one of isolation and unknown people coming and going.

A fantastic location on the outskirts of the village, with a pub opposite and an artisan bakery on site with a working watermill ! ! Steve and Louise were great hosts and could not have done more for us, highly recommended.

Lovely hosts (owner was on holiday and had friends host while she was away), were greeted with tea/coffee and homemade cake. Room a lovely size and gorgeous bathroom with roll top bath. Location great to explore Wells/Bath/Bristol. Hosts were exceptionally welcoming, and knowledgeable about the local area. A quaint, modern B&B, but with all the original features.

Great location in town centre, a few minutes walk from Princes Road Car Park. Lots of eateries nearby so lack of bfast is not a problem. Lovely old pub, popular with locals and visitors. Rooms are up an outside spiral staircase, with a very pretty shared terrace overlooking pub courtyard. Generous sized room, comfy bed, nice walk in shower. All very smart and well maintained. Tea making facilities and toiletries. Have stayed many times and always had a lovely stay, our favourite pub and stay in Wells.
