Housed in a 17th-century building, this guesthouse is situated in the quiet Devonshire fishing village of Shaldon. Rooms have views of the courtyard or river and come with free Wi-Fi.

Rooms at the Potters Mooring Hotel are individually designed and have large en suite shower rooms. They feature digital TVs, radios and tea/coffee making facilities.

The house, the room, the staff, the breakfast and the location were all lovely... And we were able to park outside.

Located 400 metres from Dawlish Beach, Lyme Bay House offers 4-star accommodation in Dawlish and features a bar. The property is situated 700 metres from Red Rock Beach, 13 km from Newton Abbot Racecourse and 20 km from Sandy Park Rugby Stadium. The guest house also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests.

Just short walk up the hill from the train station, nice white colour guest house. No noise inside the rooms, the property being next to the busy road, even see view from the window! We love Dawlish, but never stayed the night here before, so it was very pleased surprise for us to find this lovely place which gives warmth and homely feel. Spacious room, large comfortable bed, lots of pillows, big TV screen, tea and coffee making facilities, even bottled water and fridge. Bedside tables with plenty of drawers, open wardrobe with hangers, hairdryer, suitcase rack, chair, seat by the table, bible on the bedside table, box of tissues. Small shower room, but accommodates all sorts of towels, even extra one for hands by the sink and air freshener (many hotels forget about this), shampoo, shower gel, conditioner - everything is though about, couldn't wish better. Hosts very welcoming. You could see they put them heart and soul into it. Place has reception lounge and licensed bar. Definitely stay there again.

Boasting pool with a view and views of mountain, Halekulani Devon Homestay is a recently renovated homestay situated in Torquay, 1.5 km from Maidencombe Beach. Featuring full-day security, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station.

What’s not to love about Halekulani Devon Home Stay? A beautiful, immaculately clean house in a beautiful location with far sweeping ocean views, super comfortable beds, plenty of hot water for a bath or shower and a great breakfast. All the hallmarks of a truly great bed and breakfast are there, but what makes a stay here even more special are the little touches, the attention to detail that Anne, your delightful hostess and new to the hospitality game this past year (although you wouldn’t know it), has included, such as the little slate heart hanging in my room that said “welcome, Keith” on it. These are the things that stand out and turn a nice stay into a truly memorable one. In keeping with the Hawaiian theme, the whole house exudes an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. There’s even beautiful Hawaiian songs playing at breakfast. Overall, an exceptional stay and one that I hope to repeat often. Halekulani, as the very helpful info sheet that Anne provides in every room, actually means “a house befitting heaven” and based on my stay, I think this house is perfectly named. Mahalo, Anne!
