Kevin and his family were very friendly and welcoming and Kevin gave me some great restaurant recommendations. The location was excellent - a short walk to everything, especially the Free Derry Museum and the Peoples Murals. The room was lovely and very confortable. Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Breakfast excellent choice and portion sizes. Staff helpful, friendly and any request was 'no problem.' Sunday carvery was excellent and great value for money. The choice of desserts was excellent. Bar food tasty and reasonably priced. Locals using the bar were very welcoming. Very quiet - no noise from any of the functions taking place. Bed was huge and shower very good. Location good for visiting Donegal, Antrim coast and visiting friends and relatives.
Good value for money hotel with friendly staff. Great bedrooms with very comfortable bed, plenty of storage and excellent hot shower. Breakfast was very substantial and good quality. Hotel was very convenient for us but is some way out of Strabane town centre (need car). Good attached restaurant and bar. Popular venue for weddings and locals especially at weekends but no noise in the bedroom wing. Advise to book early especially for weekends.
