in the dry arid landscape of Almeria province this cortijo is a little gem and a paradise. it is very traditionally Spanish. it is set around a courtyard with lovely planting, a pool and sitting areas with wonderful views towards the mountains and Mojacar peublo. there is a town only a few kilometres away with amenities. The owners run an active olive farm and we bought some of their first press olive oil, it's delicious. Everyone is extremely friendly and we felt part of their lives even though we only stayed one night! There are communal spaces that are available to use for cooking and relaxing. would highly recommend this for a real traditional experience. thank you guys for our warm reception.

If you're looking for a peaceful, stylish, non-touristy place with informal atmosphere and you like dogs (the hosts' dogs - very friendly - like to accompany you in the common areas), this is your choice. The access road is quite ok actually, just follow the signs from Meson Rural restaurant and don't be afraid of the final steep hill, we made it with a small regular car with weak engine without problem.
And we have to mention the home-made fig jam that you can get for breakfast, it's amazing.

The location is great, you can hear the sea at night, and there are no street noises. I liked the balcony and the fridge! Everything was very clean, the beds were comfortable and it's walking distance from anywhere in the town and perfect for an early morning stroll along the beach. I would come back!

Excellent location, just 1 minute walk from the top of the elevator . Jose (?) was very welcoming and provide good information about where to eat and drink. Terrace off the bedroom a bonus, overlooking the main plaza with great views too.

The property is Dog Friendly, Spacious and cool. The host was very friendly and helpful, even providing a kettle for us and a hairdryer for our friends. The breakfast was delicious and the tostada of choice was cooked to order. Plenty of workers and locals were eating their breakfast here.
The apartment was so lovely and very clean everything you need is there in a great location the views were fab such a lovely host who checked in with me and also I left something behind and was immediately contacted to arrange to pick it up would highly recommend
Everything, great hosts,beautiful setting , outstanding service. Pet friendly and Jack the resident dog is a lovely man. Breakfast is included in the price. It was my wife's birthday and she loved her stay.
The hosts are wonderful and so helpful. The apartment is spotless and comfortable. The tv choices are immense and Wi-Fi excellent so great for remote working. However, lots of steps. The roof terrace is again approached via a spiral staircase which was impossible for my 90 year old mum but would be fine for younger people and once you are up there the views and space are fabulous. Overall a great property with lovely hosts.
