Location was Great , there was a supermarket near by and the ferry is like 5-7 minutes walk to reach Hallstat . It close to the mountains which is wonderful . The view and the experience was amazing in Obertraun.

When we arrived, it was the off season. Most restaurants, shops, and hotels were closed. However, we were upgraded to a stay at Dormio Resort Obertraun and it was beautiful. Right by the lake. The food was also delicious and the staff helpful and friendly.

Sarstein is such a lovely place to stay. The owning family have created a warm and welcoming environment and we loved being there. Although Hallstatt itself is very busy, Sarstein is a little sanctuary away from all the crowds. Highly recommended.
