The hotel is in the very city centre of Trieste close to all main cultural buildings an social entertainment places. Staff was great and helpful and the room clean and not noisy. Comfortable bed and good room.
Absolutely wonderful staff - kind, friendly and helpful. The location is also great and the breakfast spread was impressive. I also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool - very fresh!
Honestly i do not understand why this hotel has only 5 stars - maybe it is because it doesn‘t have a swimming pool. I stayed in worse 5* hotels!! Amazingly beautiful building and rooms as well as service.

Wonderful hotel with a cute swimming pool, the studio was perfect, we were so surprised by the "terrasse". The employees were very nice, everything was clean and looked new. That's the only place I want to go to if I ever go back to Trieste !

La Fontana is a homely hotel, full of keepsakes, items of amusement and entertainment from a bygone age. The food was excellent, down to earth, honest food. No menu, you get what they are preparing, but it is good.
