It was light and airy, very cosy, close to the seafront, easy, five minutes walk. Town centre is a quick walk along the road, and as it is all flat and no hills to walk up, it's great, you have the Range just down the road along with the sovereign swimming pool

Location brilliant, central to theatres, bandstand, beach, shops, bus tours. Breakfast was good. Value for money. Staff at the Burlington polite and helpful. Check in very quick and room ready early...a bonus. We have stayed several times and love the old charm and history of this Grand Hotel. Enjoyed the entertainment too! During our stay we called maintenance due to blocked sink and he came immediately excellent service.

The in-house swimming pool was a great extra and was part of the appeal for booking. It was close enough to be 10 minutes away from the peir part of the parade. Some friendly and helpful staff, some less so.

Nice quiet place near to everything . The beach is just cross the street. The singer (entertainment on Thursday) had a wonderful voice, nice song collection and all the atmosphere was so welcoming.

Rooms were quite poor. Carpets were really stained and shabby, although hovered. Paint work quite marked. Down stairs in the bar and entertainment areas were nice and clean just the bedrooms were very shabby. Food started off well but last two nights the dishes weren’t so good. Breakfast was pretty good

Good breakfast, welcoming/professional staff and a fascinating building. Great location. Free parking, which is rare for any seafront hotel but especially in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas. Room basic but clean, comfortable and everything worked. Entertainment expected standard for price but maybe the bingo should happen first, not in the middle.
