Our chalet had a lovely location by the Dordogne river and we sat on our little terrace and watched people canoe past. Beaulieu is just over the bridge, a beautiful town with lots of shops and restaurants plus a lovely church in the centre. On the Bank Holiday 16th August there was live music, dancing and fireworks by the river. The staff are very helpful and friendly. A starter pack with scourer, washing up liquid and a toilet roll is provided. Intermarche supermarket is 4 minutes away by car. We will return to this site, we found it very pleasant and calm. Bring a good mosquito repellant as the location is near a river and trees.... We bought a good one from Intermarche and we were fine.
