For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Everything was clean, practical and modern. The cabin was large, well equipped and very comfortable. The view was splendid.

The view, the quiet & peacefulness, cleanliness, comfort…now that we are back home we keep talking about how our stay at the House by the Sea was the best part of our trip to Norway. We loved having our coffee on the deck in the mornings as we read our books and watched the boats go by or the antics of the nearby goats. The woods around the house had nice hiking trails and were so pretty to walk through. Like something out of a Lord of the Rings movie. We also walked some of the trails around the island and visited the historic church. We used the house as our base for exploring the surrounding area. The ferry to Stavanger was easy to catch, reasonably priced and the views were lovely as we relaxed on the boat. Our host was attentive to answering any questions we had and was an excellent source of information about Talgje, Stavanger and Lysefjord.

Very spacious, comfortable, clean and great location! Go, stay here and book as many nights as you can. It really felt like being ‘at home’. They have everything you need and if it is not there they are more than willing to arrange whatever you need. We were provided with some great tips on what to do and where to go. The view is wonderful and it is a big plus to be able to open the doors and step into the garden. The island is beautiful and quite while your only a ferry away from the city. We couldn’t have asked for more.
