The property consists of a 3 bedroom villa and a one bedroom bungalow. Each bedroom is ensuite with bathtubs and outdoor rain showers that are full of tropical plants. Both the villa and bungalow have open plan living room/kitchens and private outdoor dining areas with large teak tables. We stayed in the bungalow. It is huge and very comfortable. The pool is awesome. View from the water tower at Sunset was beautiful. BBQ night was very special in the yard with torches and a bonfire. Madu, his father and The team was extraordinary. Taking the kids fiddling in the pond, collecting chicken eggs and took us for a boat ride in Tissu lake for afternoon bird watching. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable stay.

Fantastic accommodation run by a local family. Staff are friendly, the property is super clean and comfortable. We stayed in the cabanas in front of the pool and would recommend it. Also they have organised our safari in Yala and we were very pleased with the experience - if you do a morning safari they will prepare a basket with breakfast for you. We would definitely stay here again!

The place was clean, just in front of the city center, weekend market was just opposite , we were able check in late and did not have any issues, can enjoy the early morning sunrise with beach view.

Lovely studio set just back from the beach in a quiet and beautiful area. It’s was so wonderful to be in such a quiet and serene location with the waves the only sound. Nish is a fantastic host and the food was both delicious and plentiful. He very kindly organised a Sri Lankan cookery class with him and his Mum, also got to eat it afterwards, yum. The beach is stunning and had a few plays in the waves although a little rough to swim. Also had a yoga class a few minutes away which was hard but felt great after.

Two super cleaned bathrooms in the property are very convenient when staying with many people. We enjoyed the balcony kitchen, which included clean and sufficient utensils. Mahesh was a super host, friendly, and helpful. 100% recommend Tropical Plant Villa. We will definitely stay there on our next trip to Tangalle.

It was impeccably clean, spacious, and filled with stunning colonial furniture. The atmosphere was picturesque, perfect for a memorable stay. Krishni Gunawardena, the owner, is incredibly friendly and attentive. She made sure we were well-settled and enjoying our stay. A special mention goes to Ajantha, who was always there to assist us. His helpfulness and readiness to assist deserve a full 5 stars. The location is also ideal—just 350 meters from the beach and a 5-minute walk to town. The house and the spacious washrooms were spotless, adding to the comfort of our stay. We are definitely coming back!
