The property has an outdoor dining area. the house is very modern and super clean. all the amenities were provided and clear instructions for use. the host is very responsive over booking chat. we were provided complimentary breakfast for 2 night stay by local cafe. we love that it is dog-friendly and there is a nice sidewalk to easily walk them for potty. very close to the beach, cafes, and restaurants.

There are several restaurants, cafes and convenience stores within a 5-minute walk from Guest House Koundo. We had a wonderful stay here. The owner lives downstairs but he keeps away unless you’re checking in or out. Upon arrival he greeted us with orange juice, a map of the area and recommendations. Daily amenity refills provided, rooms cleaned. Rooms comprised of a twin and tatami/futon room (all upstairs). A wonderful, quiet area very close to all of the action in the World Heritage Area. By booking this property your money goes directly to locals instead of corporations. Experience the real Japan.

He picked up us at the train station and explained to us everything. He gave us some tips what to do in Nikko. The house is super nice, new, clean and comfortable.

The host also communicate very fast so if there is any question, it will be addressed quickly. I cannot really imagine how it could be better for a weekend in Kamakura so I totally recommend it.
