We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful and interesting place. Les Eyzies is steeped in pre-history - you can see 17,000 year old cave paintings right there in the village. Our house at Domain de Comtesse de Dordogne was beautifully furnished and fully-equipped to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean. The houses are set among extensive grounds, with a river, a fishing lake and a waterfall – birdsong is everywhere. Each house has a well-furnished shaded patio, with barbeque facilities and we ate outside a lot. Although other houses were occupied while we were there, we hardly saw anybody, and we had the pool to ourselves. The owners, Jean Claude and Lizette, were very friendly and helpful, both before and during our visit. We didn’t have a car with us, so it was useful to have a supermarket and bakery just minutes’ walk away. The house we stayed in was light and airy with a huge modern living room giving beautiful views over the grounds. We thoroughly recommend this place.

We had an amazing stay with our dog! The place is really special, the chalet is very modern and clean, also extremely well equipped. The views to the woods are outstanding, there is a lot of privacy and comfort. Every night we could hear the owls in the woods and enjoy the stars. I would say, it far exceeded our expectations!

Such happiness and a privilege to have stayed here for 5 nights in May 2022. This was a 10 to 15 minute walk away from the medieval city center of Sarlat. The wooden cabin is simply unforgettable, cosy and intimate, with an artistic bohemian feel. Our hostess was lovely and kind. We miss our meals on the patio (was really great to assemble simple meals with the very well equipped kitchen--- impossible not to buy fresh produce at the farmers' markets). We hope to be back once again, driving around the incredible region of the black Périgord and look forward to feeding our sheep neighbours, and passing the funny boxer around the corner.

That was the home. i mean home, which any of us tries to establish for ourselves. Clean, cosy and everything you need is in its place. Couldn't be better! Daiana and her husband are very friendly and kind couple. Thanks them for hospitality. The place is suitable for a family or company of friends. Alone and in one night I could not use even 10% of what this house gives.
