The lodge is beautiful and so well designed and presented, with lovely homely touches, clean spacious shower room, comfortable bed and bedroom with cracking aircon, great outdoor seating area, in all just cannot fault it. Communication with Hadas/Dusty was spot on, Hadas also arranged for us to do bird watching and cooking onsite with Flora, both of which were great experiences. On arrival we were met by Willy and Stinky who are both adorable and so friendly, they spent a lot of time with us when we were there! Willy was also a great swimming buddy in the river. Facilities in the lodge were second to none and also catered for our unstated needs! Fully stocked kitchen and a bonus of running bottled water. Having the river there to both cool down in and sunbathe by was a bonus and well used with the humidity at the time we stayed. The location was perfect for us, far enough from town to be remote and only a few mins drive into civilisation. Albert, the main man on site in the day, was lovely and friendly and we had some good conversation with him. The security here is also good, with an electric entrance gate and non intrusive cameras, but Willy and Stinky were the best security, making sure you knew about any movement even remotely near the property! They also slept outside our room on a night, ready and waiting for a breakfast treat in the morning! So cute. If you’re not a dog lover though, they won’t bother you, so please don’t be put off by them being there.

The infinity pool features a pool bar and fence. The villa is located about a 10 min drive from San Ignacio. It’s quite hard to find, but you can ask anyone in town, they will know the host Larry. You definitely need a car. It’s a very nice little place in a beautiful setting surrounded with palm trees. It’s extremely quiet and that gives a nice break from San Ignacio. The beds are big and very comfy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our family of 4 even without a living room. Larry can give you good advices about the activites in the area.

Forgot my charger plug and they were able to provide one. Excellent coffee with a French press each morning. Great suggestions for things to do in the area.

Quiet neighborhood, close to lots of great things. Definitely recommend having a car rental. It is walking distance to town but it’s on a hill.
