While the decor is very charming, full of interesting antique furniture, the place is also very comfortable. The hosts were very responsive; they were quick to bring us extra towels and did everything to make sure we were happy. The location was excellent, close to shops on Haight and the Golden Gate and Buena Vista parks. The shared kitchen was terrific; well stocked with tea and spices and full of light, with plenty of space to cook and eat. We loved it!

The location was downtown and easy to walk.
The house had almost all you would need to enjoy a few days in town, including heaters, coffee and plenty of bedding.
Someone else pointed out that this property isn't for the weak of knees and I agree. Thankfully that wasn't a problem for us and if your kids are stair deprived like mine, they might get a kick out of them.

I appreciated the decor, so many places I've stayed at keep the walls and shelves bare.
The beach is a longer hike away, so if a couple miles is a stretch,you may need a car.
