We had an incredible stay at the Sunset House in Jabal Shams. The host (Mr. Mousa) went above and beyond to ensure our visit was perfect. When one of our cars broke down on the way, he personally came to pick us up and took us to the villa in his own car. After taking us to the villa located on top of the mountain, he went back, took the broken car to a mechanic, and had it fixed! Not only that, but he invited us for lunch twice and was constantly checking in to make sure everything was okay. His hospitality truly made our trip memorable. The villa itself was comfortable, well-equipped and super clean beds and rooms, and the stunning views of Jabal Shams added to the experience. Highly recommended!

The host was amazing, very helpful, guided us to make sure we didn't get lost and even waited for us to take us right to the house. But the location... This is an absolute highlight. In the middle of nowhere, quiet (except for the goats everywhere, which I love), no parking problems. The room was spacious, with a nice table outside to enjoy some fresh air and breathtaking views.
There is no WiFi, but the cellular network works perfectly.

When we arrived, we felt like we were at the end of the world. The house is very close to the Balcony Walk; it starts right behind it. The place is very spacious, with two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Outside, the view is stunning, and you can enjoy it while resting on a super comfy lounge set. Make sure to either bring your supplies with you or have dinner and breakfast at the neighboring house. The food is basic but very delicious and authentic. The hosts were really nice. This is a perfect place to chill!

Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
The location was great and the place was very clean. The host was very welcoming. The host made sure that he was aware of when we would arrive so that he could meet us and ensure that all our questions were answered. We were welcomed with qahwa, fresh fruits, biscuits and dates which was very nice.
We picked the place because we wanted to take our dog with us, so it was great that the place was pet friendly!
Location is perfect, very close to Balcony Walk. The host are amazing - very generous and hospitable (we did not have a 4WD car and they enquired about our car and picked us up from the road to ensure safe drive for a very reasonable price). We were greeted with coffee, dates and fruit. The rooms itself are freshly renovated and very clean.
The hotel was great, the staff were friendly and helpful too. Since it is on top of Jebel shams approx 2k metres above sea level, the views were stunning! Both the sunrise and sunset viewing points was a short hike/drive away and offered breathtaking views. The room was spacious too and very clean.
We aarived on a rainy day with fog and 20m visibility. Under these conditions the drive up the mountain is quite challenging. The reception was very friendly, our tentlike accomodation comfortable and very clean. The included buffet dinner and breakfast were very good. The following morning the clouds had moved on and the views were and exceptional.
