First we liked the place and hosts were very friendly. The place is cozy and hosts even made sure to provide us with direction advises on how to reach the property. They told us to feel ourselves at home, that we can use whatever food is there and a couple of small bottles of wine is also for us. It was really nice of them. And that we shouldn't worry, they will come tomorrow and take care of cleaning. And so we used some of their food and drank wine, as was advised. There were 4 of us: me, my wife, our daugter and our friend that came to visit us. We decided to give our friend some comfort and let him sleep in the room alone on a double bed.

I could say- I liked everything. Really cozy and at the same time pretty fancy. Will definitely choose this place again when relaxing will be needed. Loved the design inside - really thoughtful.

Its an amazing place in the middle of nowhere, perfect to relax and detach from the fast paced everyday world. The house is beautiful, clean and quite spacious. We were there just as a couple with a dog ;) but Im sure it can easily hold a bigger group of people too. Contact with the owner was super easy and really helpful (mentioned below). We were there in winter and we found Tuddals Joker to be the best shop for supplies and fire wood (definitely the cheapest offer). With the fresh snow 4x4 car turned out really useful in the area.

I had the pleasure of staying at Polaren by Norgesbooking for 7 days, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. Despite the feeling of being immersed in nature, the cabin is surprisingly close to key amenities in Notodden. In just a short drive, we were able to explore charming local shops, restaurants, and cafes, making it easy to enjoy the local culture without compromising on convenience. There are also grocery stores nearby, which made it a breeze to stock up on essentials. Notodden is a quaint town with its own charm, and its proximity to the cabin was ideal for those looking to balance seclusion with access to daily conveniences. The cabin itself is the epitome of luxury. With its sleek and modern design, every feature was meticulously crafted for comfort. The living spaces are spacious, the beds incredibly cozy, and the large windows offer unobstructed views of the stunning landscape. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed for meals, and we loved being able to dine while taking in the mountain vistas. We also appreciated the modern amenities like high-speed internet and the inviting fireplace, which made the evenings extra cozy. The owners were truly fantastic hosts, always just a message away with quick responses and helpful suggestions on what to see and do in the area. Wonderful place with great owners
