We travelled to Kurokawa onsen Mori No Ki Ki by driving from Kumamoto, it took us about 2 hr. The staff (or the owner) was so kind and willing to facilitate and keen to support us nicely. We were so much impressed and appreciated. The house was so clean, the onsen was good. Home made bread was excellent. We suggest the visitor should come before the evening as to see the sign clearly. The sign showing the accommodation name a bit small comparing to the others, so you may miss when it is dark. The rest are excellent, if you like peace and relax with warm heart, you may like this one.

Worth every penny paid. Even though location was uphill and out of the way, the amenities more than made up for them. I rank it the most comfortable and luxurious stay in my entire trip (and I had stayed in premium 5 star hotels prior).

Location was great! albeit rather remote but thats not really a bad thing as it was really quiet and serene. We knew about the sauna but didn't realise that the bath was also using onsen water so it was a nice surprise.

All units are air conditioned and have a flat-screen TV. Some units include a terrace and/or balcony with mountain or garden views. There is also a kitchen, equipped with an oven and microwave. A toaster, a fridge and stovetop are also available, as well as a kettle.
Poland
One of the best places we have ever stayed. The house is comfortable, clean and spacious. The private onsen is amazing as well as a terrace with grill table. You can rent a grill set for 3000 yens, charcoal was enough for us (2 people) to have a barbecue 3 times. Location with only forests around make the stay restful, however you need to have a car even to go to the shop. Amenities in the house (e.g kitchen equipement) were also a plus, everything you need to have a comfortable stay.

The onsen was of good size and very enjoyable as the temperature could be easily adjusted. Nice patio to hang outside and sufficient heating for colder weather. Surrounding and neighborhood is very pleasant with good view of mountain range. Large living room with big TV.
