Frankaborough Farm Holiday Cottages, hotel in Stratton

Offering a terrace and garden view, Frankaborough Farm Holiday Cottages is situated in Virginstow, 12 km from Launceston Castle and 28 km from Lydford Castle.

This is a great location on a working farm. Linda and her family - including extended family of all ages - could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Our children (ages 7 and 10) went off on tractors, collected eggs, cuddled puppies, saw the milking, went fishing. The accommodation was simple and unfussy but very cosy and well equipped. We wanted a base from which to see family and explore the local area so this was perfect for us - very relaxed and down to earth. Probably not the right choice for guests who want a finely manicured location or lots of organised entertainment right on the doorstep. But it was exactly what we were looking for.

Very clean and comfortable room above a real, village pub. All the essentials covered and some nice extra touches - teapot and fresh milk. A lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Felt welcomed and looked after and also able to come and go independently. A great, little place.

Enough choice for breakfast from the cooked menu and good value. Loved the fact it was a big pot of coffeee and tea and they came to ask if you wanted anything else. Although on a busy road there was no traffic noise. Room very clean and comfortable

Amazing lodge, very clean and so many facilities. Russell and his wife are a great hosts. I've been there with my kids and wife, we've been so impressed with the way the lodge been prepared for us ( specially for the little one with so many toys ). Location also great, 7 minutes away from the beach, Morrisons 5 minutes away and so many other options.
