We travelled as two friends taking part in a charity walk from the nearby campsite so the location was perfect. As others have said it is not Bakewell but that wasn’t an issue.
Property owner was very responsive to queries.
We found both beds comfy, despite initial reservations about the sofa bed & the under floor heating was nice.
There was plenty of room for us & all our walking things.
Kitchen was well equipped.
Reading other reviews I think changes have been made, there’s a shelf in the toilet, there’s a draw in the utility labelled with ‘bedding’ so this could be found. I took my own pillow so I knew I’d be comfy.
The property was clean & the porch a bonus.
We went in one of the pubs which was dog friendly & well priced. We didn’t eat but the food looked lovely.

After arriving at a different booked place to find it closed. Managed to get this place and it was a lovely cottage. Everything was there for our needs and great location.
Hope Terrace is a 4-bedroom end-terrace house situated in Matlock Bath on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Free WiFi is available throughout the property and off-street parking for 1 car.

Excellent location in Matlock Bath. Lovely property, clean and comfortable.
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Comfortable small barn on a farm in a beautiful rural location. Very quiet and peaceful. Near to the local attractions and facilities such as Dovedale, Tissington Trail and Hartington. The cottage was great for the four of us (two couples) for a weekend. Very clean and well laid out. Highly recommended for a walking weekend or short break.
