The location was excellent - we were attending an event over the weekend at Montrose Playhouse which was only 5/10 mins walk away . My friend is from the area and it was a great base for visiting friends . The facilities were great and a fridge full of all that we needed - what a great surprise and very welcome . Dag (our host) had sent a message in advance to say all we needed was a toothbrush and he wasn't wrong ! :)

Property was very clean and comfortable for the two nights that we stayed there. The owners were very welcoming on arrival making sure that we knew where everything was located and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely private location and a 10min drive to the beach which our dog loved. An easy drive to Montrose for food supplies or takeaways, we will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone who wants a tranquil escape.

Beautiful – and very large – room (I was offered an upgrade on arrival, for an extra £10 a night). Nicely decorated, comfy bed and chairs, nice furniture, deep carpet, and all very clean.
We loved the space for all our family to stay together. The house is beautiful and very clean.
Loved the garden. The house had everything we needed and more, from family games, toys, lots of extra towels, blankets etc. It was very private no one bothered us but we got a lovely message to say if we needed anything at all just ask.
The staff were so friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated and everything was in a good state of repair. We booked into the restaurant for our evening meal and the food was excellent, as was the service. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent and a good variety of cereals, fruit, juices, hot food and the option to order from the kitchen. There is also an ample sized car park.
Had a lovely stay at the Wellington Retreat! The bed was so comfortable and the flat was very clean. The location is great, 10-15min walk to shops and 20ish minute walk to the beautiful beach nearby. The biscuits and milk were much appreciated upon check-in.
