The house was clean and well kept, modern but keeping all the charm and characteristics of the original property. The dog washing station was a huge bonus after long muddy walks! The welcome basket was a lovely touch from the owners and really appreciated after a long drive. Enclosed garden area.

Excellent weekend stay for a family wanting quiet country surroundings with great self-catering convenience and plenty of space. Kitchen very well-appointed with dishwasher, separate laundry room, all appliances, etc. Condiments, oil, etc, provided and lovely free bottle of wine. Hosts welcoming and friendly. Views over rolling hills and fields; quintessential English countryside. On quiet farm lane with gated parking for 2 cars. Lovely walk nearby along Carsington water (large lake). Photos on website don`t quite do justice to space inside: good size open-plan kitchen/diner/hallway with high ceiling serves as main communal area, with cosy lounge room as additional option. 3 good size, comfy bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Think building is a converted dairy building with many original features and rural charm maintained. Super warm central heating throughout and electric fire to top-up. Pretty much faultless.

Stayed over Christmas '21, weather was cold but the cottage (barn) was lovely and warm, despite having tiled floors they didn't feel cold. The facilities were excellent. There was a lovely view from the dining room. There was a huge parking space right outside the barn. The location was great for a number of walks.
