The property was very well presented, easily meeting the standard shown in the official photos. It would be hard to find a better location, remote enough to feel special but with facilities available for supplies (with a little planning). The views of the landscape and wildlife were really excellent.
Set in Pennyghael, Pod 7 Loch Aline offers accommodation within 25 km of Iona Abbey. There is an outdoor fireplace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking.

Great location everything you need for a great stay
Great for families or large parties, holiday homes are privately owned accommodation, available for long or short-term rental. These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. These properties have their own independent front door, which makes them different to apartments.
Very clean facilities and friendly helpful staff.
Compact space inside the pod for 2 adults, more people in wet weather would have felt cramped.
Quiet rural location 10 minutes walk further down the road from the Abbey.
We enjoyed our amazing time in this lovely and beautiful Iona Pod. Such a wonderful experience with the sea view. We found it very comfortable and everything was set up perfectly and put in the right place. Very cleaned. The location is also great. Not far from the Abbey (10min walk) and the ferry terminal (15-20min walk). We found that the area of these Pods is a very powerful energy spot as it is at the foot of Dun I, Iona’s highest point (333ft). Lovely and friendly staff. We highly recommend Iona Pods.
The property is very clean, the views are exceptional and Dot was a lovely host.
