This is a real hidden gem. The cottage was spotless, very cosy and had everything we required. The bed was so comfy we had the best sleep. We hired the hot tub which was a real treat sitting under the trees and looking at the stars. We had a walk down to the river and the scenery is beautiful. It was lovely to watch the birds in the garden.We ventured out to the Running Fox for delicious food and walked round the gardens at Kirkhekle courtyard. The owners were excellent communicators and were very helpful and kind throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful location, very peaceful. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Cottage really clean and comfortable. Modern and well equipped. EV charger next to the property worked really well. The alpacas were rather lovely and there were loads of swallows and housemartins congregating before heading off for the winter. Nice to be staying so close to Kielder Water. The owners also recommended a really nice pub for dinner that we were able to walk to from the property.

Lovely couple who own the holiday homes, they are located on the family farm with beautiful views and easy access to Kielder National Park. I stayed for The Northumbrian Triathlon weekend and this was a perfect location! One thing to note; definitely pick up your shopping on the way, the property is a good 30 - 45 minute drive from a big supermarket.
This trip to Kielder, was my husband Christmas present and The Phesant Inn didn’t disappoint! It is a very nice traditional English pub, with very nice, friendly staff. The food it’s very good, the accommodation was lovely, very clean, warm and cosy. The shower it’s excellent! It’s very near Kielder Forest and Kielder observatory, only 15 min down the road almost.Beaufifulll walks near by. We will definitely go back!We really enjoyed our stay, thank you.
Excellent facilities, Beautiful accommodation finished to a high standard. Very clean and well appointed. Peaceful and beautiful location. Great walks and a chance to get away from it all. So lucky to have great local pubs and eateries which added to the enjoyment of the break.
The location is great for Kielder Water and the views from the property are beautiful. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The room and the pub were very clean and well presented. The food was very nice and can highly recommend the mushroom wellington. Big bonus was discovering I could charge my car.
