We were 4 of us staying in the property and the house was nice size for us ( it can accommodate 5). We asked the owner David if we could check in slightly earlier to prepare to attend friends’ wedding and he accommodated us flexibly.
The house got a lovely decor and each bedroom was comfortable to sleep. The house is overall very clean and all the facilities are functional. The property is a walking distance from the central part of city so it was convenient.

The property was in a fantastic location, easy walk into the town centre and The Monk Gate can be seen. The property was very clean and well maintained, anything that could have been beaded was there. Super comfortable beds and beautifully decorated throughout.

We had wonderful communication with hosts, the property was beautifully and tastefully decorated and had everything that we needed for our stay (the kitchen had the most amazing stove) and, also, after a long drive we were welcomed by a bottle of wine (there was also milk in the fridge)! I loved my bed (the mattress was super comfy) and the fact that the house was tucked away from the noisy city centre but was, nevertheless, close to all famous landmarks (less than 5 minutes away from the York's historic city walls). For families with kids- there was also a small playground nearby :) We spent three happy days exploring York, took hundreds of pictures and made lots of memories!

These homes are furnished and equipped with kitchen facilities for self-catering, although breakfast may be offered as an add-on. Lovely looking building with very pleasant & helpful staff. Ample parking. Very clean. Lovely hot & cold buffet breakfast with plenty of choice - and warmed plates :). Plenty of sitting areas & rooms. The Fat Abbott is located next door and is OK. Not a charming country pub as expected but it served a purpose and was friendly
Lovely building, great location. Room was very clean and my special request was accommodated. It's the 4th visit made, so I'd say it's somewhere nice to return too which we will do again next year.
The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the food in the Fat Abbott next door was fantastic.
I've stayed here several times and like the hotel. The beds are comfortable and the ensuite very clean and modern. Buffet breakfast was included which made the price reasonable overall. The pool facilities are very nice and relaxing.
Very clean, with friendly and helpful staff. Good location with a bus outside to take you to York. Free parking at the hotel so could park up and then relax for a couple of days. Excellent spa facilities which we made use of.
