So quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was amazing! Bed was super comfy. Loved how dog friendly it was. Such a pretty location. Loved sitting in our wee private garden playing scrabble before cooking out dinner in the bbq and popping in and out the tub! Pure bliss x

Beautiful room in quiet surroundings including a large garden which can be used by the guests. The room was very clean, with lots of thoughtful details. Amanda is an amazing host, clearly dedicated to make her guests feel at home. Breakfast was very good. The location is perfect for a stop-over on the way to or from Scotland, since it is very close to the motorway, but still very quite and peaceful.

Friendly welcome from Nigel who turned out to be the tireless barman, waiter, breakfast server, etc., etc. Don't know how he did it keeping up the cheerful bonhomie all the time! The other 'secret weapon' of the Cressfield was the chef who provided such a range of food to such a high standard. Evening meal (and breakfast) were better than anticipated. Very clean throughout, room and bed comfortable. Well done all.

Everything, from check-in to departure. Our host was friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is filled with historic charm and our room was very spacious and bright with a large window looking out over the grounds. The bed was very comfortable and everything was very clean and well maintained. The meals provided at the hotel restaurant were amazing.
