This has to be one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed. Looks striking as you arrive and see it on the lake but the minute we opened the door the smell was awful, there is a tank which collects the toilet deposits behind the hut and the bathroom absolutely stinks and it flows throughout the cabin. I had to leave once it got dark and went back in the morning. Nothing luxury about the cabin whatsoever, very basic. Furnishings in bedroom very dated . Dried residue in sugar canister . Garden chairs were sodden and mouldy, table was filthy and all the decking veranda was covered in bird poo. You couldn’t cast out properly for fishing due to a giant tree obstructing the area. It really does not justify the price at all.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although the hotel is old the room was immaculate, clean, modern and well furnished. The bathroom was of a high standard and very clean. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, tasty well cooked and presented
