The house was excellently done out. Care and attention and been taken to all details. Decor was tasteful. It was clean and warm. Furzen Farmhouse, hotel in Chedworth

Set in Cirencester and only 5.6 km from Cotswold Water Park, Furzen Farmhouse offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking.

The entire experience from start to finish was excellent! Very welcoming and accommodating hosts that gave me lots of space to experience my stay as if I was staying at my own house. It kind of felt like staying at a friends house while they were away. It was perfect. The bed was comfy. There were options for lighter duvets or heavier blankets (which was an absolute dream for someone who’s in the depths of Perimenopause like me! 😂) The bath tub is divine! I highly recommend that you pop to Tesco in Cirencester on the way there and grab a bottle of bubble bath and a few candles, so you can really make the most of it. There were extra towels, extra pillows and extra everything just in case I needed it. The room temperature was just right, the whole time. There were lots of different lighting options which meant I could have ambient lighting in the evening when I wanted to unwind as well as bright lighting during times when I was working. The wifi was fantastic, fast and stable enough for me to work from the living room for the whole afternoon without any challenges whatsoever. The grounds were so well kept and pretty and being around the horses was just beautiful and calming. Everything in the house was meticulously organised and thoughtful. The location couldn’t have been better for me working in the Devere Water Park, which was just a few mins drive away. It was simply the all-round the PERFECT cosy home away from home. And I literally couldn’t recommend it enough!

Roseberry Cottage - Lower Mill Estate, hotel in Chedworth

Set in Somerford Keynes, Roseberry Cottage - Lower Mill Estate offers a balcony with lake and river views, as well as a year-round outdoor pool, sauna and spa facilities.

Stunning property, in a wonderful waterfront location. Couldn’t have wished for more. Beautifully furnished and with everything we needed for a home from home stay. The onsite facilities were such a bonus and we enjoyed a meal out, swimming every day and kayaking on the lake. Could have done so much more. Particularly enjoyed the balcony- perfect for watching the sun set. Will be staying again.

A great place to stay, the staff are very welcoming. A very nice country inn. There is plenty of free on site parking, the rooms are a good size and are very clean. The bar and restaurant are great, a good selection of beers and meals, and they are not expensive. The Inn is also dog friendly which is a bonus. Breakfast is good, you will not be disappointed with your stay here.

Friendly efficient staff, was shown to a big bedroom with en-suite. Lovely view over rear garden and lake through sash windows. Evening meal was excellent couldn’t fault it and good value too. Breakfast had a good selection of cereal or cooked to order served in a spacious dedicated area of the pub all very clean and efficient. Great location for exploring the cotswolds especially bourton on the water and stow.
