our host was lovely and spends most of his time tending his imaculate gardens .a few steps from the apartment is the river a suitable seat there to enjoy a bottle of st emillion [5 km away ]we spent hours watching the river and its wildlife
the view from the bedroom looked over vineyards and its cave .the host was so helpfull free cycles and canoes though the river was very fast during our stay

What a wonderful surprise. You get to the property down an alley and its a huge old garage door to gain access to the property. What a fabulous surprise when you get through the door! Open plan kitchen, dining area (high table). Downstairs shower/WC. Bedroom is upstairs (double bed). The swimming pool is huge, with a hot tub and sofa setting area. Beautiful property, very clean. Authentic farmhouse excellently modernised surrounded by vineyards belonging to the excellent hosts. The main bedroom is quite large and the twin room ready for the family. The living room is large with some lovely old furniture. The kitchen has new fittings and the bathroom is newly refurbished with big walk in shower.
The area is very quiet and rural in the middle of wine growing areas, half hour from the Dordogne River. It is interesting to visit St Emillion but equally good wines can be bought from local growers, and the host Yuanne produces wine from growing to bottling.

Our flight was delayed I messaged Marion to let her know we would be arriving in the middle of the night. It was not a problem and everything was fantastic.

The owners were super accommodating- they collected/dropped us to the station and lent us bikes. The garden was lovely to have breakfast in too.

We were welcomed from the moment we met David and his family. It truly felt like a home.from home. David takes great pride in his collections and his audio facilities. The cinema was superb. The pool was wonderful after a hot day. We loved everything about this stay including the lovely gite we stayed in which was very clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble for the family. Thankyou and we will gladly return on our next trip to France.
