The property was easy to find and provided very convenient off road parking right outside the door. The local area was very quiet and picturesque. The location was ideal for visiting not only the D Day sites but also the beautiful town of Bayeux and had good road links to the wider area including the city of Caen (which has a direct rail link to Paris). Overall it was an ideal base for anyone wanting to visit the D Day beaches, war memorials, picturesque rural hamlets and the wider area of Normandy.

In a very nice village by the sea, the apartment is very comfortable and very clean.
I was there for 2 nights.
Everything was perfect, the host is extremely kind.

The appartment is clean and bright with `French` doors out to a balcony with a vue accross to the church. The bedroom king-size mattress very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has a microwave instead of an oven, and I suggest the refridgerator set to No 4 on arrival.
The allocated parking space is often taken by the office-workers (of the appartments ground floor) but there were plenty of vacant spaces against the back wall. There is no reception/concierge at Port en Bessin.
Exactly as photos and reviews here have shown. Apartment was well-equipped and kept very clean. 10-15minute walking distance to the busier port area with restaurants and shops.
The apartment is lovely well furnished, has all the equipment needed, is very spacious, very clean and with most beautifull view. I would definitely recommend it even for longer stay. The village is also beautifull.
The house is ideally located to visit the major attractions in the area (Overlord, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha beach…). You can walk down to the harbour and enjoy a nice meal or shop for souvenirs. The house is spacious, fully equipped and it was very clean. The garden is huge and the location is quiet.
