The ease of booking and entry to the accommodation was excellent. There was super communication from the host. The mobile home was incredibly clean and had all the cooking equipment we needed. The location was really good - it was lovely and quiet. It was great for what we wanted - a peaceful stay where we could visit local places and do some easy cycling. Top tip if you like nature and want an EASY cycle (appropriate for kids of all ages) - cycle to Rhinau and turn left and cycle along the Rhine (French side) - we saw herons, swans and cygnets, cormorants, egrits, storks and a bird of prey. Go along the top and then after about 15-20 mins there is a way to get down to the lower path for the way back.

We had an awesome stay at La Maison Des Vacances! It was located in the heart of Alsace along the route des vins, just half an hour drive from Colmar and 40mins drive from Strasbourg. We reached a little later than expected but the hosts (Simone & Bernard) were waiting for us. Once we entered the house, we were welcomed by the traditionally, intricately decorated & fully equipped home with super comfy bedrooms, living & dining areas. Every corner of the house was exceptionally beautiful. We had requested for the dinner & breakfast. Both meals were scrumptious yet super delicious and homely. Thanks Simone & Bernard! We will surely come visit you again!
