We had an awesome stay at La Maison Des Vacances! It was located in the heart of Alsace along the route des vins, just half an hour drive from Colmar and 40mins drive from Strasbourg. We reached a little later than expected but the hosts (Simone & Bernard) were waiting for us. Once we entered the house, we were welcomed by the traditionally, intricately decorated & fully equipped home with super comfy bedrooms, living & dining areas. Every corner of the house was exceptionally beautiful. We had requested for the dinner & breakfast. Both meals were scrumptious yet super delicious and homely. Thanks Simone & Bernard! We will surely come visit you again!

Cosy, and what a welcoming lady that met us when we entered the stairs.
Though we were bicycling and intended to see some other village but there was not taxi or Uber available in the village.
Anyhow we found the Koehly winery and was so well treated without going somewhere.
If you need something else then what can be be provided by the village bakery and butcher, such as toilet paper, don’t forget to shop before you arrive since there is no supermarket in the village.

The house is a perfect home away from home, eqquiped with everything you need for a great stay. The location, in a small lovely village, is perfect for travelling around the Alsace region, as everything worth seeing is in 30-40 driving distance at the most.
The hostess, Soffie, was very kind and helpful, and her brother helped us by taking our laggages up the stairs.
The dining room is very large and perfect for family or friends gathering, and the living room is very cozy.
If you come to the annual quilt show at St Marie Aux Maine, this home is a perefect place to stay in!

Very quiet location. There are rooms in the main house but we booked last minute and stayed in a converted barrel in the garden. Snug! Bathroom was outside, just next door to our barrel room. Hosts were lovely! We learnt lots about grapes from Gilbert. Fabulous breakfast. We were made to feel very welcome.

We have been to Dambach la Ville several times before and rented other apartments. This one is, without doubt, the best we ever visited! Loots of room for two adults and two children, very clean, very cosy, the wifi was extremely fast and covered the whole apartment without problems. It was just a few minutes walk to bakery and restaurants. We were warm welcomed and the host were always nearby, yet private, if there should be any questions. I could write more superlatives but just book it and have a nice stay! 10 points out of 10.
This is a hidden gem in a beautiful area in Alsace, located in a beautiful old town. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. This house is family-friendly, and very clean. There is a bakery 200m from the house, serving fresh bread, as well as 2 good restaurants within walking distance. There are plenty of wine shops in the town. Somehow, this town has been overlooked by tourists.
