This is a great place to stay, spacious and clean, with good facilities and with Mercedes, our friendly and very helpful host. During our brief stay we had both good and very bad weather (Storm Alicia), and in both conditions the property's heating and air conditioning worked well (although in cold weather the second bedroom could be in need of a heater if that room is being used). As some reviews have mentioned the main bedroom faces a road, but with double glazed windows and the very comfortable bed the occasional sound that we heard wasn't a problem for us at all. The wifi is secure and works well, and the garden and rural surroundings of the house are lovely with wonderful views and lots of birdsong. This is a great property that's well located for exploring the beautiful northern half of the lovely island of La Palma.

Thank you Tamara for a phantastic holiday! The casa helios is the best equipped holiday home we have ever been to (out of over 100). From toothbrushes to an induction cooker to three(!!!) TV Sets [which we didn't use ;) ]. Furthermore everything was exeptionally clean -or even unused. The location is phantastic as well: Total silence, a spectacular 180° sea-view and a very comfortable terrace. Thanks again.

We LOVED the windows with all the natural light, the serene and peaceful nature surrounding the house and the hiking trails that were surrounding the house too! And the mini dishwasher was a beautiful surprise.

United Kingdom
The house is really characterful and comfortable in a quiet rural area but only 5 mins drive from supermarket and restaurants. It has a lovely view of the sea, private terraces and is unusually well equipped. The friendly owner Hans is an experienced walker and you can walk from the door on local footpaths. Hans met us on arrival and provided generous fruit, wine, cheese and basic storecupboard groceries. We also enjoyed home grown avocados and lemons. Puntagorda is a good walking base and we would happily stay here again.
