Greeted by Patrizia - very welcoming and bubbly and Sophia then arrived to greet and ensure all was ok. Rita was present daily for breakfast - fresh, varied and served with great care and attention. I ended up staying for three nights so that I could see all the sights in better weather and I loved my stay. Bedroom was great and again cleaned with care. Location was perfect. Left my car parked there and happily walked into the centre (and even back uphill twice) and used the 434 bus to go to Pena etc. Thank you Happy Sintra for a lovely introduction to your city.

Chalet Saudade underwent a 5-year complete renovation and offers modern and comfortable accommodations, elegant living rooms with trompe l’œil frescoes and romantic gardens with antique water fountains and ponds. Rooms include tea making facilities. Up a flight of stairs and you are at the train station where the public scenic bus 434 stops also. 10 minute walk and you are in the main centre. The receptionist was so helpful. Nice to arrive in a new hotel and you are made to feel welcome and that nothing is a problem. Our room was lovely. The hotel is exactly the same as the pictures.

Wonderful breakfast. Fun to be able to go to the sister property for wine hour! Perfect location.

The place is immaculate and the services are fantastic. Ricardo is an exceptional host who anticipates all your needs and continues to amaze you during your stay with many pleasant surprises! The rooms are well appointed with the most modern decor and conveniences. The grounds are impeccably maintained and create a feeling of serenity. Overall one of the best experiences we have ever encountered!

An indoor play area is also available at the guest house, while guests can also relax in the garden. A great stay - probably one of our best during our five weeks of traveling in Portugal. Good parking - great breakfast and a room that was really a double room. This is an older building but it has been renovated "first class". We loved it. Wifi was good. Great shower!!! This is a 10 out of 10 stay!! We only wish that it was a little closer to the "old town" area - not bad walking down but a chore walking back. Second day we took the bus.

Very quite location, about 15 minutes of a beautiful walk to old center, amazing breakfast in a beautiful room, cozy room with everything you need. The hosts are very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
