The owners of this new, historical hotel were wonderfully accommodating and kind. We arrived to to beautifully restored grounds, with easy parking. Each room is named after an archaeological discovery of the quirky man who used to live here. The rooms were quiet and well-designed, and there is also a comfortable shared space for work or leisure. It's a short walk to the center of Viseu, where we enjoyed all the recommendations of the hotel staff! Breakfast was delicious, generous, and fully customizable,including local specialities. Highly recommend this local gem!

Set on an early 19th century building Bemyguest - Loft Guest House Jardim das Mães Charming was completely renovated and offers accommodation in historical centre of Viseu. It offers views for the Rossio Square and is located in front of the Jardim das Mães. I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room. It was also clean and to my surprise it had a kitchenet (I didn't use it but might be useful to some). The staff was very nice and welcoming.

Boasting a garden and views of quiet street, Casa da Judiaria Velha is a guest house set in a historic building in Viseu, 17 km from Mangualde Live Artificial Beach. The location was incredible, so central. The whole house was charming with a great deal of character. Theresa is so kind and thoughtful and friendly and full of local knowledge

What a great location in Viseu at the end of a road next to some lovely woods and yet it was only a short walk to a large park and then on to the center of town. Our place was very spacious with a bedroom, bathroom, and sitting area. We were so impressed with Carolina and her staff who made us feel so at home there. Because she is a wonderful cook, breakfast was excellent and so were dinners both in the restaurant and on the patio. It was fun to stay in a beautiful historical place and learn the family history. We admire her innovative ability to ensure the property is successful.

The hostess was extremely polite, very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was superb.

The host was completely fluent in English and Portuguese, and answered lots of questions about the town and surrounding area. The room was large and quiet, with a large spotless bath. Breakfast was a nice selection of fresh foods.
