A little oasis right in the centre of Puerto Maldonado. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The pool is small, but enough to cool down from the heat. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. And breakfast is amazing as well!

Her kindness and generosity compel me to write my ONLY Booking.com review, even though I've explored 103 countries in a decade with Booking.com! Truth be told, I'm a busy adventure traveler, and it's never been worth my time to review accommodations - until Rosa.
Rosa's House is a real and warm home experience in the amazing Amazon Jungle. The wild animal sightings just on her premises rival deeper Amazon sightings: jumping monkeys, flocks of birds including macaws, gigantic tarantulas. The natural and wild splendor was so captivating and mesmerizing I'd forget to care for myself. Rosa gently reminded me to eat and lovingly shared her family's fresh meals cooked from ingredients grown on her land. I started calling Rosa "Mama," as she's a caring mother at heart!
Rosa's energy attracts such wonderful characters. Her partner Elvis is equally accommodating and an intellectually creative force. His fantastical art will have you in absolute awe! Their two dogs are adorably tactile and always ready to play.
Again, this is my only Booking.com review because Rosa's House is the best out of the 500+ accommodations I've stayed at!

Good stop for a cheap place to stay for one night
The hostel was fairly basic but was affordable for a private room, and was very spacious. Although it was great to have so much space, the one small fan provided didn't give a lot of air movement to the humid environment. We were only there for one night so can't comment on the staff but they seemed relatively friendly. The breakfast was very basic but the pool was great to help with the humidity. The view was great from the top.
Very appreciated 2 days into the Jungle ! Very quiet, staff is very sympathic especially the 2 youngs ! Many thanks for all !
Great location, lovely staff, very cheap
The hostel is clean, comfortable and cheap, only a couple blocks away from plaza de armas. We booked a room with shared bathroom and the host gave us a one with private bathroom for the same price since there was availability. There's a nice terrace with hammoks, a large common area with a kitchen and the swimming pool. NB the address on booking is wrong, look it up on Google maps
Kenny and Ruth are so great Hosts. All the staff was pretty friendly and helpful. The Accommodation is awesome, great Location. A Spot for Relaxation and the Tours are great too.
Hosts very helpfull, quiet location direct by the river
Arrived early on a rainy morning,, check in was at noon but we were accommodated and served breakfast. Roland and Jamie were great hosts. Thank you
Best food ever! The lodges are completely new and super clean. We loved the silence, but also the near to the city. Personal service of the hosts is amazing. Great recommendations, guided tours are available and a great location of the bungalows at the river. We definitely recommend this Airbnb for couples, families and also friends travelling together. Especially the fishes Emanuel prepared for us will stay in our memory!
Great location, right on the bank of the river, nice view from room or swimmingpool . Very quiet. Perfect to rest after a couple of days in the jungle.
